Is Chanel finally going to allow shoppers to buy clothes online? This is so false--well at least for now it is. Bruno Pavolvsky, the brand's president, said offering clothing online isn't in their brand strategy. He said shoppers need to be able to try them on. “You need to be in the fitting room. You need to have a tailor who alters the clothes to fit exactly to your body. I think it’s part of Chanel. It’s more than just our service. It’s part of our differentiation to have ready-to-wear that is perfect for our customers," Pavolvsky said. Chanel cosmetics and accessories are sold online, however. Perhaps in the next five years or so, Chanel will finally give in.
