American Airlines, through BlackAtlas.com, announced actor Laz Alonso as the new travel ambassador at a private fête and press conference at the Studio Museum in Harlem. As travel ambassador, Alonso will host several travel videos featured on BlackAtlas.com and represent American Airlines and BlackAtlas.com at select events.
The invitation-only fête kicked off with featured music by jazz band Rakiem Walker Band, celebrity mixer DJ Cosi and a majestic live performance featuring Melanie Fiona. Guests danced and sung along to hit's such as "It Kills Me" and "4am." The event was catered by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson’s restaurant, Red Rooster Harlem.
