On Saturday, October 15th, Black Girls Rock commenced and it was definitely a night to remember. Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King co-hosted, as stars celebrated the achievments of African American women in the entertainment industry and beyond. Legends like Shirley Caesar, Angela Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Laurel J. Richie, Imani Walker, Malika Saada Saar and Tatyana Ali were among the bunch.

The performance lineup was also five-star: Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Melanie Fiona, Mary Mary, Elle Varner, Shirley Caesar. It's all airing on BET on November 6th, 2011. This is the sixth annual Black Girls Rock event which was founded by DJ Beverly Bond. However this year's show marks only the second time it'll be available on television, so be sure to show your support and tune in!Check your local cable guide for time details...you don't want to miss this event!
