Theres  been a pattern of  racial incidents in the fashion world lately with desingers like Paul Frank’s pow wow, Victoria’s Secret geisha outfit and Jeremy Scott Adidas sneaker with shackles attached to it. Dolce & Gabbana got added to that list last week during the Milan Fashion week. The high end brand accessorized their models with earrings portraying a dark-skinned black woman with a blue scarf, a gold necklace and a basket of fruit on her head. These very risque earrings were inspired by  something called a blackamoor, which is defined as a very dark person. Theres much speculation right now about whether these were pulled to grab attention or purely a fashion statement with no type of malice behind it. Either way, the fashion world has another debate case on their hands.
